Several times per year, we offer camps and other one-off enrichment programs and workshops for adults and youth. We believe that alongside regular programming, there needs to be opportunity for extra development in certain areas. This is also a way for people who aren’t able to commit to longer-term programs to still be able to participate in some degree. We often partner with other community organizations and with professionals from outside of the region to bring a diverse level of experience to these programs.

Summer 2018 – Performance Intensive Camp

Introducing a brand new conditioning camp happening August 20th to 24th. This camp is designed to set students up for success in their performance ventures. Activities include group vocal lessons from experienced voice teacher Caitlyn Triebel, along with development of acting skills, and improvisation techniques for the stage. Students will workshop their confidence in character, stage movement, and home practice. They will also gain strength in their abilities as performers which will in turn impact future auditions and performances. This camp is great for both beginners and experienced performers. Each student will work on one to two solo numbers, as well as duets and larger musical theatre ensemble pieces.

This camp will be excellent preparation for success in our regular season Musical TheatreBravura Children’s Choir, and Youth Show Choir programs, or in private voice training or any other performing arts activity students may have in the future!

Performance Intensive I – Ages 7 to 11 – 10 AM to 1 PM – $125

Performance  Intensive II – Ages 12 to 15 – 2 PM to 5 PM – $155

The camp takes please at the Kiwanis Performing Arts Centre, upstairs on the second level. Students should bring a snack as there will be breaks throughout the three hours of class-time. If you have any questions, please contact Caitlyn Triebel by email or phone (250) 467-9277.
