We are proud to be spearheading a new community event to take place on October 10, 2019 for World Mental Health Day. “In Unity” will be a dawn-to-dusk open public event to raise awareness of resources in our region, and to #BreaktheStigma on mental illness through performance, art, and community. This free event will feature information and resource tables from community service providers, musical performances and spoken word, presentations, and refreshments.

The event runs all day to draw attention to the fact that mental illness never takes a break. We hope that “In Unity” will become an annual event for our community and region to talk about our mental health and for easy sharing of resources to those who most need them. “In Unity” will take place at the Calvin Kruk Centre for the Arts.

To donate or sponsor part of this event, please contact Caitlyn Triebel. You will also be able to donate throughout the day to a local mental health initiative (recipient TBA).

If you would like to be involved in this event in any way, please fill out the form below. Honorariums will be provided to performers if funding allows.
