Ages 5 to 7
For aspiring young singers, this program provides a fun and energetic introduction to singing techniques, music appreciation, games, rhythm and movement, and basic choral etiquette. Piccolo singers will get to learn percussion techniques and gain an introductory understanding of written music. They will work on many different traditional and newer children’s songs. This group will perform twice per year in combined concerts with our other choirs. This program is great for early learners hotwired for performance, and a great place to start in developing a lifelong love of music.
Rehearsal are an hour long, and facilitate a positive learning experience for the students while stretching their concentration and encouraging strong group dynamics. All instruments and other equipment are provided in the program.
The Piccolo Children’s Choir will also perform in the local Festival of the Arts, which will provide children with friendly community exposure and a positive learning environment.
Rehearsals are on Fridays, from 3:00 to 4:00
