Bright Lights and City Nights 5th Annual Winter Gala Concert
DAWSON CREEK, BC — On December 21st, join the Dawson Creek Choral Society in its 5th Annual Winter Gala Concert at Unchagah Hall. This concert will feature more than 60 local singers of all ages performing retro holiday classics. $2 from every ticket sold will be donated to the Networks Ministries Good Food Box and Food Bank.
DCCS Artistic Director Caitlyn Triebel will be handling the conducting baton, and the choirs will be accompanied by local pianists Carmen Willms and Aaron Marchuk. “The music we’ll be performing in this concert is all about nostalgia and the glowing feeling of giving during the holiday season,” says Triebel. “It’s four months of hard work from all of our singers, and such a joy to share our music with the community.” Selections include favourites such as Elvis Presley’s Blue Christmas, Tchaikovsky’s Dance of the Sugar-Plum Fairy and Silver Bells.
The evening will also be the final chance for the public to vote in the Angel Chorus Charity Competition. All angels will be on display and the winning team and charity will be announced at the end of the concert.
Tickets are $17.50 in advance or $20.00 at the door. Youth under 12 get in for $7.50 advance or $10.00 at the door. Tickets are available from TicketsinthePeace.com or the Tiger Box Office located at the Encana Events Centre (Dawson Creek) or Systems By Trail (Fort St. John).
Bright Lights and City Nights is the first concert in DCCS’s 2018-19 Season. You can also buy Season Tickets for $68.00 and $34.00 for youth under 12.
